Taya Weiss

Taya Weiss

A founder of Raise the Sky, Taya is a professional skydiver, writer, adventurer, and researcher who has lived and traveled extensively in both Africa and the US. She has over 4,000 skydives, a USPA D-license, and a Coach rating. A multiple record holder, Taya most recently organized and participated in the 100-way Wingsuit World Record. She is the first woman and one of the first skydivers to perform XRW (“Extreme Relative Work”, a term she coined), docking with canopy pilot Jessica Edgeington while wearing a wingsuit in freefall. Taya has a BA magna cum laude in Social Studies from Harvard University and a Master in International Relations from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.

Mindy Calisti

Mindy Calisti

Mindy Sciarini is a corporate and securities attorney in Atlanta, Georgia. Mindy was an active formation skydiver for two years but has since become a dedicated road cyclist and also enjoys spending time outdoors. She received a BA summa cum laude in art history and a JD magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky.

Eli Bolotin

Eli Bolotin

A full-time skydiver and entrepreneur, Eli is an AFF instructor and wind tunnel coach and has over 1,000 jumps and a USPA D-license. He enjoys freeflying, canopy relative work, and video flying, and is an experienced organizer and media liaison. Eli has served as a Volunteer Coordinator for the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team of Massachusetts Bay, was a member of the Logan Airport “Tarmac Team” in the event of an airplane crash, and was media liaison for major disasters. He holds a BA in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University.

Phil Peggs

Phil Peggs

As a broadcast engineer in mobile television production for NBC, Phil travels extensively within the US to work on programs such as Sunday Night Football, the Superbowl, the Emmy Awards, and the Grammies. A videographer and avid freeflyer, he has over 2,000 jumps and a USPA D-license. He was the Media Coordinator and a participant at the US National Wingsuit Record, is a videographer for Project XRW, and currently dedicates many hours to training in a wind tunnel with his competitive Vertical Relative Work 4-way team. Phil holds a BA from Ball State University in Indiana.

Steve Sanderson

Steve Sanderson

Steve is the Founder and Owner of Helios Interactive Technologies, a company specializing in integration and deployment of interactive technology for advertising and events. Steve has five years’ experience in the skydiving industry and was an active jumper for 11 years. He has 4,700 jumps, a USPA D-license, and is a Tandem and Accelerated Freefall Instructor. He particularly enjoys jumping as a skysurfing videographer. Steve’s charitable focus is on international organizations and global outreach.

Warren Pretorius

Warren Pretorius is a fifth-year medical intern at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He also holds a BSc in Human Life Sciences from the University of Stellenbosch. A fanatic about the bush and wildlife, he also thinks South Africa has one of the richest cultures around. Combining his passion for community development and public health, he started a program called KrugerKare, giving free healthcare to Kruger National Park employees. Based in Johannesburg, he oversees all programming for the Flying Dreams Project, with special focus on public health and the Pastoral Centre Preschool and Creche in Kliptown, Soweto.
